Tablet shipments in the Philippines is up by 6.5% back in 2022 according to the new report from IDC. Over 1.2 million units of tablets were shipped in 2022. Leading the market is Samsung with 30.7% share with an estimated 382,900 units shipped.
Taking second place, surprisingly, is Cherry. Even they have geared towards smart home while constantly releasing low-midrange to budget-friendly smartphones, they have shipped 258,400 tablets in the Philippines. This makes sense as their offerings incline to entry-level offerings, which fits the budget of most deal-hunting Filipinos.
At third place is realme with 167,100 shipments even though they only have three tablets on offer: the realme Pad Mini, realme Pad, and realme Pad X. Just below it is Huawei with 9.8% market share while last in the top 5 is Lenovo with 94,000 shipments with 7.6% share.
