The 2024 refresh of the ASUS ROG Strix Scar series have arrived in the Philippines alongside this year’s version of the Strix G lineup. They will now come with Intel’s 14th Generation processors, ROG Nebula HDR displays, and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series GPUs.
The ASUS ROG Strix Scar 16 and Scar will come Mini LED. It will support HDR, 2,000 discrete dimming zones, 1,100 nits at peak brightness, 240Hz refresh rate, NVIDIA G-Sync, and 2560 x 1600 resolution. The ROG Strix G18 and G16 have a more standard IPS-level panel, but still packs largely the same features such as a 2560 x 1600 resolution, NVIDIA G-SYNC, and 240Hz refresh rate.
Most of the ROG Strix series are now powered by the Intel 14th Generation platform. The ROG Strix Scar series and the Strix G18 come with the Intel Core i9-14900Hx, up to 32GB RAM, PCIe 4.0 storage, and up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 GPU.
All this horsepower is cooled using ASUS’ Tri-Fan technology that uses a third fan to increase airflow to surface-mounted components. All models will have Conductonaut Extreme liquid metal as their thermal interface between the CPU and the heatsink. This allows the notebooks to boost to higher clock speeds for longer.

Price and Availability
The 2024 ASUS ROG Strix Scar 18 and Scar 16 are priced at PhP 299,995 and PhP 214,995 in the Philippines, respectively. Both notebooks will come with an Intel Core i9-14900HX, 32GB of DDR5 RAM, and two 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD at RAID 0. The Scar 18 is equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 while the smaller Scar 16 has an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080.
On the other hand, the 2024 ASUS ROG Strix G18 and G16 will start at PhP 99,995. The ROG Strix G18 is priced at PhP 159,995 and will come with an Intel Core i9-14900HX, 16GB RAM, 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD, and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070. Meanwhile the ROG Strix G16 is equipped with an Intel Core i7-13650HX, 16GB RAM, and 1TB storage. Two GPU models are available: RTX 4060 for PhP 114,995 and RTX 4050 for PhP 99,995.
