The ASUS TUF Gaming VG279QM is a 27.0-inch display with a 1920 x 1080 resolution, and as mentioned, a 280Hz refresh rate. The screen is what ASUS calls a FastIPS panel that allows for maximum viewing angles without much color shift. In addition, the screen comes with Adaptive Sync that’s G-Sync compatible ready.
The display comes with a 1000:1 contrast ratio and a 1ms GtG response time. ASUS says that it comes with DisplayHDR 400 certification thanks to its capability to reproduce 400 cd/m² of brightness. ASUS adds to the brightness with their Dynamic Shadow Boost technology that clears dark areas in games while optimizing other areas to improve its viewing experience.
The device comes with 2x 2W Stereo RMS speakers, two HDMI 2.0 ports, and a single DisplayPort 1.2 connection. The stand allows for tilt, swivel, pivot, and height adjustment. If the ergonomics isn’t enough for you, it also comes with a 100 x 100mm VESA wall mount.
