The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is indeed a powerful smartphone, one unique offering it has is the new Galaxy AI which has the capability to modify / retouch photos when needed. In our recent trip to Australia, we found the Galaxy AI’s usefulness in erasing pesky distractions in our travel photos.
Here are 3 sample of using the Samsung Galaxy AI, but first of all its very easy to use as you will only need to press the Galaxy AI icon and encircle the spots you want to modify or deselect.
Once deselected you can generate the filler for the areas to be replaced using Galaxy AI and the algorithm will determine the best replacement for the scenario. In our case its nice to remove annoying photobombers and unavoidable elements like signages.
Here you can see that on the left there are several distractions like the concierge table with people, audience at the back including the legs of the lifeguard. All of them are removed and replaced quite well, though the pole at the right was cut short and wasn’t able to replace appropriately.
At the Gold Coast in Brisbane we were able to remove some people at the back sitting in the beach, which is quite minor but creates a more IG worthy effect.
At Byron Bay in Brisbane, its hard to take photos without other people in the frame. Fortunately Galaxy AI was able to remove people sitting by the entrance of the building and standing at the railings, giving a cleaner photo result.
All photos took around 2-3 minutes to modify and with Galaxy AI you will need to be connected to the internet in order to work as the technology is cloudbased. The only concern we are facing is when selected items near the corner the back / return gesture keeps on activating which is annoying. But if you can get over that, the Galaxy AI is a fun feature to save or enhance your photos.
There, do you think the Galaxy AI is useful for you? Will you use this feature?
