A Plague Tale Requiem Chapter 16 Walkthrough

  1. Move forward with Sophia and Lucas. Once you reach the turn, enter the house and use the workbench if you want. Move back to the path and follow Lucas.
  2. Pick up the collectible and open the door.
  3. Leave Sophia and wait for the conversation between Amicia and Lucas to finish. Move back down once the wave passes and make a beeline towards the destroyed house wall.
  4. Continue doing the same and wait between the rat waves before you run to the next cover. Note that some covers can only last one wave and you must move immediately when the window arrives.
  5. Reach the gate and wait for another wave to destroy it. Enter the gate and move towards the wall. The initial wall is scripted to crumble so push forward and do this for a couple of times.
  6. The last wall requires you to squeeze yourself in between two walls. Wait for the wave to pass by before going out of the narrow path. After getting out, run towards the bridge and don’t worry about getting hit by the rat waves.
  7. Continue towards the end of the bridge and watch a cutscene. After catching your senses, continue moving forward until you reach the bird statue.
  8. Follow the direction of up to three bird statues and then choose any direction and just continue forward. Hugo keeps telling you to not follow the birds as it led to nothing before. Do the same here and just advance at any direction until you see Amicia struggling to move because of strong winds.
  9. In the next scene with the torch, extinguish the flame using Extinguis with the sling. You won’t be able to advance if you just kill everything or if you get killed yourself here. The only thing to do is to turn off the flame.
  10. Reunite with Hugo and walk with him. Navigate the visions until you reach the door.
  11. Enjoy despair and walk with Lucas until you reach Hugo.
  12. Kill Hugo. Or do something else to unlock a different ending.

A Plague Tale Requiem Chapter 16 Tips

Watch Out For The Rat Waves

Move between rat waves

The main challenge of this chapter are the rat waves that pulsate away from the Macula. Look for the window in between the waves before you advance. Also note that the walls and the ground crumble as you run so be wary and expect changes during your mad dash.

Do The Opposite

move to any direction

Inside the Macula, you’ll be subjected to a number of visions. During these visions, you may revert to following what you did in the previous chapters. However, Hugo specifically mentions that the past did not work out and you have to do the contrary to advance. In the bird statue phase, do not follow the birds but instead just move forward towards any direction. Next one is the battle between the rats. Do not fight them and instead extinguish the torch in front of you to advance

A Plague Tale Requiem Chapter 16 Collectibles

Hugo’s Collection – Carnation

Chapter 16 hugo collection

There is only one collectible in this chapter. You can find the Carnation along the path to the Macula. It is unmissable and you have to pick it up to proceed.
