Acer has launched two convertible chromebooks, the Acer Chromebook Spin 714 and Acer Chromebook Enterprise Spin 714. Both are built with performance and productivity thanks to their Intel Evo-verified 13th Generation processors and made with durable aluminum designs that supports their Earthion Initiative.

These new laptops are powered by up to an Intel 13th Generation Core i7 processor, which promises up to 10% performance improvements over the previous generation. They also come with Intel Evo certification that can provide up to 10 hours of battery life and can be quick-charged for only 30 minutes for up to 4 hours of use. For businesses, the Acer Chromebook Enterprise Spin 714 supports vPro technology.

Their display is a 14-inch 1920 x 1200 with 100% sRGB color gamut and Antimicrobial Corning Gorilla Glass to protect from scratches and resist stains and odor-causing bacteria. An optional USI stylus carries 4,096 levels of pressure and tilt sensitivity for natural and precise use. The two come with 360-degree hinges to enable four viewing modes.

 

Acer’s Chromebook Spin 714 series are also the first to chromebooks to come with a QHD webcam for better conferencing solutions for work and school. Connectivity include WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, HDMI, and two Thunderbolt 4 ports. Its keyboard is backlit and the trackpad is equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass.

To support the company’s Erthion mission, the notebooks come with post-consumer recycled plastics while the packaging is built out of recycled materials. Their anodized aluminum chassis conforms to MIL-STD 810H standard to stand up to daily wear and tear as well as resist dents and bending.

They will run on ChromeOS with built-in business capabilities including faster boot times, ease of use, and advanced security. The OS will also support web-based and Google Play apps while the Enterprise Spin 714 variant gives access to Chrome Enterprise Upgrade.
