If you’re looking for a gaming tablet, then there’s not much to choose from in the current market. Very rare are those times where a tech company will make a tablet specific to gaming because it’s either you play graphic-intensive games on a PC or play lightly through apps on a smartphone. Apps are made with size and compatibility in mind. But there are those who go outside the box and make apps that are heavy on graphics and require high specifications to run them — that’s where the Acer Predator 8 comes in.
Specifications:
The Acer Predator 8 is very unique-looking and it sure is eye-catching because of its unusual aluminum body and four speakers sticking out on every side. It’s very light and easy to hold even when it’s not so rounded especially when you can use the speakers as a handle — great for extensive gaming. It has a 1080p resolution HD screen and surround sound on every corner so you’re sure to get that satisfying media experience.
Performance is okay for gaming. It runs on an Intel X7 processor and it will have no trouble on playing any games you want. We also tested a game called VainGlory — a MOBA game that requires high specifications to run and we had no trouble running it on the Predator 8. Battery life is not one of the strong suit of the gaming tablet as I got only a poor 5-6 hours of normal use.
The Predator 8 is a good tablet for gaming, you’ll get an awesome experience on playing games. It will allow you to play for an extended period of time without getting your hands tired as you can use the speakers as a handle, but you also need to have the power cable near you as the battery is not good enough for portability and mobility.
The Acer Predator 8 is available with a price around Php 18,000.
