The Acer Swift Edge 16 was unveiled at Computex 2023. It packs the new AMD Dragon Range Ryzen 7040 series processor, up to an AMD Radeon 780 GPU, an OLED display, and even AMD Ryzen AI on select models.
The Swift Edge 16 is designed for to be portable while still offering computing and portability for professionals. It is powered by the Zen 4 Dragon Range AMD Ryzen 7040 series processors, up to 32GB LPDDR5 RAM, up to 2TB of PCIe 4.0 storage, up to an AMD Radeon 780, and AMD Ryzen AI support on some devices that require AI demands.
It comes with a 16-inch 3200 x 2000 OLED display running at 120Hz and supports 100% DCi-P3 coverage. The notebook runs on Windows 11, is compatible with WiFi 7 for faster wireless transfer speeds, and Microsoft Pluton for secure cloud connections.
Acer says that its chassis is made out of magnesium alloy to keep it thin and light at only 12.95mm and 1.23kg, respectively. Despite its portability, it is equipped with Acer PurifiedVoice with AI noise reduction for calls and a full suite of I/O ports including two USB-A ports, dual USB 4 Type-C ports with 65W PD charging, HDMI 2.1, and a MicroSD Card Reader.
