ADATA has officially launched the Legend 970 PCIe Gen5 SSD. It features is a double-layer aluminum alloy heatsink with a built-in micro-fan and surface crystallization that forms an active air-cooling system. This allows it to reduce its temperature by up to 10% and maintain stable performance during high-speed transfers.
The ADATA Legend 970 PCIe Gen5 boasts sequential read and write performance of up to 10,000MB per second, which is double the speed of standard PCIe Gen4 SSDs. It is, however, still backwards compatible with PCIe 4.0 and 3.0 platforms.
It is equipped with an SLC cache algorithm and DRAM Cache Buffer that have advantages in system loading and data caching. Random read and write speeds tops out at 1,400K IOPS, improving efficiency of multitasking.
The SSD uses 232-layer 3D flash memory to allow ADATA to offer it in large capacities of up to 2TB. The company is using a variety of data protection and correction technologies to increase Total Bytes Written (TBW) and durability.
It also supports AES 256-bit encryption to ensure accuracy and security of data transmission. ADATA’s exclusive SSD Toolbox is free to download for real-time monitoring and they will be offering the LEGEND 970 with a 5-year global warranty.
Price and availability are yet to be announced.
