ADATA XPG Lancer RGB DDR5 32GB-6000 Review – Unboxing

ADATA XPG Lancer RGB DDR5 32GB 6000

ADATA XPG Lancer RGB DDR5 ships in a simple box clad in the branding’s red motif with Mera as their mascot. It lists its certifications including Intel XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO, as well as various compatible RGB ecosystems including ASUS Aura Sync, Gigabyte RGB Fusion 2.0, MSI Mystic Light Sync, and ASRock Polychrome Sync.

The DIMM sticks are protected by stiff clamshell plastic. We got the white variant for this review and ADATA doesn’t bundle any additional accessories or paperwork with the RAM to keep costs down.

ADATA XPG Lancer RGB DDR5 32GB-6000 Review – Up Close

ADATA XPG Lancer RGB DDR5 32GB 6000

The ADATA XPG Lancer RGB DDR5 is a fairly simple-looking RAM kit but there are some tasteful design cues that separates it from the competition. There are parallel lines that run diagonally and meets with its RGB strip.

Speaking of RGB, its RGB lighting is fairly simple but it works. The diffuser works well as there are no hotspots to be found. As advertised on the box, its RGB lighting does work on several manufacturer modes so you can easily synchronize the lighting on your build.

The heatspreader juts out at just 15.5mm, which should make it compatible with most air coolers. The white variant of the kit is finished with a bright white coating that will make it suitable for white-themed builds.

The whole range of ADATA XPG Lancer RGB DDR5 kits are using SK Hynix A Die kits that make them suitable for higher frequencies and overclocking. While our kit maxes out at 6000MT/s at CL 30-40-40,  high-end kits can reach speeds of up to 8000MT/s at CL 38-48-48.

System and Benchmarks

ADATA XPG Lancer RGB DDR5 32GB 6000

The ADATA XPG Lancer RGB DDR5 series fully support both Intel XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO but still check with your motherboard’s manufacturer if the kit will run properly on your system. Our review is specced at two 16GB DIMMs at 6000MT/s with timings set at CL 30-40-40. Voltage sits at a relatively conservative 1.35v while faster kits run at up to 1.45v.

We had no problems running the kit at stock with out setup. As usual, we ran a few tests to see its stability and what kind of performance it can bring to our rig. See the list below for the list of components we used to test the kit:

AIDA64 Cache and Memory Benchmark

Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation

ADATA XPG Lancer RGB DDR5 32GB 6000 CL 30 40 40 Ashes

The ADATA XPG Lancer RGB DDR5 32GB-6000 is slightly faster than the similarly positioned Kingston Fury Beast RGB 32GB-6000 thanks to its tighter timings. Performance should be a little bit faster on memory-intensive tasks like compression and decompression.

As for reliability, we did not encounter any crashes nor any system instability during the duration of our testing. We did try increasing its speed but we were met with occasional crashes where there where none before. Perhaps we just got unlucky with the silicon draw.
