E-Payment is now becoming more and more important especially during the pandemic we are facing now. Cashless transactions are increasing given the additional safety it provides to consumers, and the transition of more businesses to online platforms.

With this, consumers are now using e-wallets like PayMaya, for their purchases more. But before they can shop online, pay their bills, send money, or buy load via PayMaya, they should first add some funds to their account.

Adding money to a PayMaya account is easy, all you have to do is follow these easy steps:

1. Go to any Smart Padala agent and tell the agent that you’re adding money to your PayMaya account.
2. To Add Money via code, simply tap “Add-Money” in your PayMaya app and choose “Smart Padala via code.”

• • To Add Money via mobile number, just fill out the transaction slip, include the amount you want to add and your mobile number linked to your PayMaya account.

3. Give your Add Money code or transaction slip to the Smart Padala agent.
4. Present a valid ID (student IDs are accepted) as you make your payment.

• • The minimum amount you can Add Money is P100. You will be charged with a PhP 15 service fee for adding up to PhP 1,000 in your account, and another PhP 7.50 for every additional PhP 500 beyond the initial PhP 1,000.
  • For upgraded accounts, you can add up to PhP 100,000 in your PayMaya. For accounts that are not yet upgraded, the monthly limit for add money is P50,000

5. Wait for an SMS confirmation before leaving the branch.

Our experience in our local Smart Padala agent was pretty straightforward. We simply showed her the code along with the P1,000 cash for the Add-Money transaction. We got credited Php985 pesos in our wallet after a few moments. There is a free of Php15 as convenience in loading your wallet through this method, but nevertheless this is a great way to utilize instead of trying to find stores for cashing in physically.
