Mobile devices are becoming exponentially more powerful every year. Adobe is taking note of that and is planning on porting the full Photoshop experience on the Apple iPad.

According to Adobe Chief Product Officer of Creative Cloud, Scott Belsky, there has been a shift of professionals working on mobile tablets instead of desktops. The company is planning on a 2019 release of the full Adobe Photoshop experience on the iPad.

“My aspiration is to get these on the market as soon as possible. There’s a lot required to take a product as sophisticated and powerful as Photoshop and make that work on a modern device like the iPad. We need to bring our products into this cloud-first collaborative era,” said Belsky.

There’s no information yet as to what models of the iPod would be supported by Photoshop. But given its requirements, we expect that users would most likely need a more recent release of the iPad.
