Positioned lower in the market compared to the AMD Radeon RX 5700 series, the AMD Radeon RX 5500 series brings AMD’s Navi architecture to the mainstream crowd. Specifically, 1080p and notebook gamers.
The AMD Radeon RX 5500 series will come with a desktop version and a mobile version aptly named RX 5500M. Set to be available next month, these new GPUs will come with aftermarket versions when they arrive.
The desktop model of the RX 5500 will allegedly have a Base Clock of 1717MHz and can reach up to 1845MHz. As expected, the notebook variant will reach a bit less only clocking in at 1448MHz with a boost of up to 1645MHz.
The AMD Radeon RX 5500 series will support PCIe 4.0 x8 as well as backward compatibility to previous PCIe versions. The desktop variant can have up to 8GB of GDDR6 memory while the RX 5500M is expected to have 4GB GDDR6 memory.

Pricing for the AMD Radeon RX 5500 series have not been announced yet but we expect it to be below the USD 250 (PhP 13,000) mark. Availability for RX 5500M-based notebooks are still on the horizon.
