Bolstering AMD’s current crop of GPUs is the newly unveiled Radeon RX 6700 XT. Based on the RDNA2 architecture and the Navi GPU, the Red Team’s latest entrant in the GPU space has squared its sights on the 1440p market.
The Radeon RX 6700 XT uses the Navi 22 XL GPU based on the RDNA2 architecture by AMD. It is cutting down the number of Stream Processors to 2560 and Compute Units to 40. Despite this, the card claims to reach around 2424MHz Game Clock and around 2581MHz Boost Clock while still putting it at around 230W board power.
Like its siblings, the RX 6700 XT uses a large pool VRAM, 12GB of GDDR6 to be exact running at 16Gbps. The card aims to take on the 1440p market where cards such as the RTX 3070 and 3060 Ti reside. Of course, AMD is touting that their new card can beat the Green Team’s offering based on the stock benchmarks they presented.
The AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT will launch worldwide on March 18, 2021 and will sell for USD 479 or around PhP 24,000. Local pricing and availability in the Philippines are yet to be unveiled by AMD Philippines. We expect to receive word about its local launch soon.
