After almost two months after NVIDIA unveiled their Ampere-powered RTX 3000 series cards, AMD is now ready to trade blows in the high-end market with the Radeon RX 6900 XT, RX 6800 XT and 6800 cards.
All three cards are based on AMD’s RDNA2 architecture and is promising 50% generational performance-per-watt over previous cards like the RX 5700 and RX 5700 XT. AMD is using their Infinity Cache on these cards in order to have a faster pool of memory for important assets instead of going to its GDDR6 memory.
Big Navi GPUs will now support DirectX 12 Ultimate and offer largely similar features as its Ampere counterparts such as Ray Tracing, which is one of its largest divisions from the competition. AMD is also working on Super Resolution as part of the Fidelity FX Suite which they say will work somewhat similar to DLSS. Currently, there are 35 games being configured to work with their future implementation of Super Resolution.

The AMD Radeon RX 6000 series will have a staggered release to market with the RX 6800 and RX 6800 XT arriving on November 18, 2020 for USD 579 and 649, respectively. The flagship Radeon RX 6900 XT will be available starting December 8, 2020 for USD 999.
