The iPad Pro 2021 has now been ported to Apple’s M1 platform to expand its performance and capabilities. It also sports a Thunderbolt USB Type-C port, 5G, and a new Liquid Retina XDR display.
The 12.9-inch model of the iPad Pro 2021 will sport a Liquid Retina XDR display, which uses a mini-LED screen. This allows for a peak brightness of 1600nits and a million-to-1 contrast ratio to enhance the viewing experience and creative work. Meanwhile, the 11.0-inch iPad Pro 2021 will get a display that features ProMotion, True Tone, P3 wide color support, and HDR.
Creatives who do work on the iPad Pro 2021 will be happy to know that its storage options have been increased to 2TB. Cellular variants of the device will now support 5G for faster connectivity speeds. As mentioned, Thunderbolt will now allow the device to drive additional displays like the Apple Pro Display XDR at 6K.
iPad Pro 2021 models are also getting anew TrueDepth camera system with a 12MP ultrawide angle lens specifically made for them. Machine learning of the M1 chip recognizes its users and keeps in them in the center of the frame, which is especially helpful for FaceTime calls.
