The Apple iPhone 14 and 14 Plus have been officially unveiled. Both still come with largely the same looks as its predecessors and even Retina XDR OLED display with True Tone. Improvements, however, are focused on its internals with the pair now using the A15 Bionic chip from the iPhone 13 Pro series for better performance and a new set of cameras.
The two come with a 12MP main camera with a larger sensor and pixels. The brand promises up to 49% improvement in low-light photos and makes Night Mode capture faster. Selfies will be taken with a 12MP f/1.9 front-facing camera and also pledges better low-light performance.
The brand is also implementing what they call a Photonic Engine. It automatically combines several shots before the photo is compressed. This promises photos to come out better especially in darker scenarios.
The iPhone 14 will have a 6.1-inch display while the iPhone 14 Plus will have a larger 6.7-inch screen. Either screens will come with Ceramic Shield for extra protection.
The smartphones will also support Crash Detection and will automatically call emergency services in case of an accident. Those who are in locations can take advantage of emergency SOS via satellite, but this feature will only be available in select countries.
The Apple iPhone 14 will start at PhP 56,990 in the Philippines for its 128GB variant. Larger storage models will be priced at PhP 63,990 and PhP 75,990 for the 256GB and 512GB models, respectively.
