Both the Apple iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max have made their official premiere alongside the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus. As flagships of the range, they come with large screens with the Pro Max becoming the largest ever iPhone, and the new A18 Pro chip.
The iPhone 16 and 16 Pro Max come with larger Super Retina XDR screens than before measuring in at 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches, respectively. The new A18 Pro chip promises 15% faster performance than the A17 Pro while still managing 20% more efficiency for a longer battery life.
The new chip also supports Apple Intelligence and allow both devices to record 4K videos at 120fps. Their main lens is a 48MP Fusion camera with a quad-pixel sensor for improved videos and photos. Their ultrawide camera has been bumped up from 12MP to 48MP and now supports autofocus while Apple also added a 5x Telephoto zoom.
Much like the vanilla 16 series iPhone, both will come with a camera control key that lets you adjust zoom levels via swipe gestures.
The iPhone 16 series will support Apple’s AI dubbed Apple Intelligence. One of the highlight features is the new Clean Up tool that enables you to remove unwanted objects in the frame much like AI removal tools on Android devices. Its AI also helps you prioritize with summarized notifications, Priority Messages in Mail, and a more deeply integrated Siri with improved language-understanding capabilities.
The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are priced starting at PhP 69,990 and PhP 84,990 in the Philippines, respectively. Both are being offered in Desert Titanium, Natural Titanium, White Titanium, and Black Titanium Colorways.
Storage options start at the base 128GB configuration. Bumping it up to 1TB increases the price of the 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max to PhP 100,990 and PhP 108,990, respectively. The two are now available for pre-order through Apple’s official website and authorized retailers nationwide.
