ASUS has entered the cooling market back in 2018 with their Ryujin and Ryuo AiO coolers. In their Meta Buffs event, however, they have announced that they will be expanding their cooling solutions to standalone fans with the ROG Strix XF 120.
The ROG Strix XF 120, as the name suggests, is a 120mm fan 4-pin PWM fan that has been tested and verified to deliver optimized acoustic profiles depending on the usage. ASUS says that it can deliver 62.5cfm airflow and 3.07mm H20 static pressure. This allows the fan to have the flexibility to be used as a CPU, Radiator, or chassis fan.
The fan uses a magnetic levitation technology, which reduces friction and lowers its acoustic profile and increases its longevity to 400,000 hours. Noise is further reduced thanks to its grooved blades and anti-vibrating design. It has an operating range of 250 to 1800rpm and can automatically turn off to 0% PWM duty cycle, so you can choose if you want superior cooling or utmost quiet.
No word yet as to when the ROG Strix XF 120 will hit the market. We expect to hear more from ASUS about their latest cooling solution within the coming fourth quarter of 2020.
