Audio has been an important, although not nearly noticed enough, aspect of gaming. ASUS ROG has announced a new gaming headset for their line-up in Computex 2018. The ASUS ROG Delta, aside from having RGB, is the first gaming headset that has Quad DACs and a USB Type-C connection from the brand.
Designed for both PC and mobile players, the ROG Delta comes with a Type-C connection as well as a USB 2.0 Type-A converter. Audio is delivered by an ESS Sabre 9218 Quad-DAC that provides processing power to different frequency ranges that ranges from: 20 – 150Hz, 150 – 5,000Hz, 5,000 – 20,000Hz, and 20,000Hz – 40,000Hz. The headset also its Quad DACs to pump out high-definition audio of up to 32 bits and 384KHz.
Like most ROG peripherals, the ROG Delta comes with RGB lighting on outer perimeter of the ear cups. The RGB can be controlled on or off via a switch on the left ear cup. The lighting on the Delta is also compatible with Aura Sync if you ever want to synchronize the lighting of the headset with your other ROG peripherals.
We didn’t see the microphone of the ROG Delta while on show due to security reasons. As far as we’ve seen, however, the microphone is detachable and is using a standard 3.5mm connection to the headset.
The ASUS ROG Delta will be availability and price will be announced in the second half of 2018.
