Following up the happenings at ZenFestival at India. ZenFone 2 laser was officially announced, featuring the same ZenFone 2 body but with Qualcomm Snapdragon 410/615 processors. But as the name suggest, this lineup has Laser auto focus that assists to faster photography experience.
Chairman Jonney Shih says that the ZenFone 2 Laser has Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection which is 2x better than Gorilla Glass 3. Also adding up is the removable battery which is still Lithium Polymer which is a huge benefit from previous generations. Overall the ZenFone 2 Laser is available in 3 sizes, 5 inches, 5.5 inches and 6 inches. All featuring LTE connectivity, the ZenFone 2 Laser is definitely much cheaper than the Intel configurations.
Prices starts at 9,999 Indian Rupiah or Php7,200 for the 5 inch, then the 5.5inch starts at 13,999 Indian Rupiah or Php10,050 and lastly the 6 inch is for 17,999 Indian Rupiah or Php12,922. Prices are directly converted so expect to add more for taxes here in the Philippines, price wise it’s competitive enough against other brands. Let’s just see how Qualcomm will be welcomed by everyone to the ZenFone lineup.
