After its global launch last month, ASUS is bringing in the 2023 refresh of its range of OLED notebooks. This generation, they are upgrading the series to the new Intel 13th Generation processors with more powerful notebooks receiving NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series GPUs.
One of the highlights of the series is the ZenBook S 13 OLED UM3504. It is the lightest of the range just like before but they have squeezed its internals to squeeze in a 1cm chassis while weighing in at only 1kg.
Despite the weight loss, the notebook still packs a complete assortment of ports including Thunderbolt 4, USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A, HDMI 2.1, and a 3.5mm combo jack. It also manages to fit up to an Intel Core i7-13550U and a 13.3-inch 2880 x 1800 OLED screen.
Those who need a bit more oomph can take a look at the ASUS ZenBook Pro 14 OLED UX6404. It is heaver starting at 1.60kg but it packs up to an Intel Core i9-13900H, up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070, and can be upgraded to 48GB of DDR5 RAM. Its display is similarly impressive with a 14.5-inch 2880 x 1800 120Hz OLED screen.
This generation introduces the Lumina OLED standard. This is their new marketing term for top-notch OLED screens that will offer Pantone Validated panels, VESA DisplayHDR True Black, Delta E < 1*4, ASUS Splendid Color-Gamut Management, OLED Power Saving, OLED Care Burn-In Prevention, and ASUS Tru2Life technology.
ASUS will also be offering free OLED screen exchange for any burn-in issues on participating notebooks during the warranty period.
