Aftermarket variants from NVIDIA’s AIBs have started to hit the market. ASUS will be providing gamers and enthusiasts with several variants: ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4070, TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 4070, and Dual GeForce RTX 4070.
The ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4070 has the same design as the RTX 4070 but at a more affordable price. It’s still rather sizeable at 3.12 slots thick and 338.9mm long thanks to it’s MaxContact heatsink and ultra-rigid structure.
It comes with a 16-pin power connector for compatibility for the 12VHPWR PSU standard but they are bundling an adapter for older power supplies. The card will also come with 11-blade Axial-tech fans that promises 31% more air volume and 56.3% more static pressure compared to the ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3080. It’s backplate is vented for better flow and the fans support 0dB technology for silent operation under light workloads.
All Strix cards come with a Dual BIOS switch to choose from Performance and Quiet Modes, two FanConnect II headers to control additional case fans, and ARGB lighting compatible with AuraSync.
The TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 4070 comes with a slightly thicker heatsink but shorter card design compared to the Strix version. A vent on its aluminum backplate improves airflow while its 11-blade Axial-tech fans provide ample cooling. It is thicker at 3.15 slots but shorter at 301mm for better case compatibility.
It also offers a Dual-BIOS switch but RGB lighting is limited to its ARGB TUF logo along the shroud. ASUS packs the card with military-grade capacitors and Auto-Extreme manufacturing quality for long-lasting gaming performance.
The Dual GeForce RTX 4070 are the most affordable of the range. ASUS is bringing in two colors for this series, black color tone and a new white version. This allows you to choose the best colorway for your build.
As for design, ASUS says that it evokes the space age with retro-futuristic elements with a semi-transparent view onto the heatsink at the top of the card. It does pack some elements of the cards despite being lower cost including 11-blade Axial-tech fans, Dual BIOS switch. Fans are limited to two and this limits its size to only 267.1mm for better compatibility in systems especially compact ones.
ASUS is bringing in three of their four GeForce RTX 4070 series cards in the Philippines: the TUF RTX 4070 O12G Gaming, Dual RTX 4070 O12G, and Dual RTX 4070 12G priced at PhP 45,740, PhP 40,590, and PhP 40,190, respectively. You can now get these cards through official ASUS stores. ASUS has provided a list on their website of authorized online stores and retailers nationwide.
No word yet if they will be launching the ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4070 locally.
