ASUS ROG Flow X13 and XG Mobile GPU officially arrives in PH

Announced last month as CES 2021, the ASUS ROG Flow X13 and its external GPU, the XG Mobile, is now coming to the Philippines. The brand’s latest ultraportable comes equipped with AMD’s Ryzen 5000 series mobile CPUs and an NVIDIA GTX GPU. Meanwhile, its external GPU can be decked out with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 for extra graphical oomph.

The ROG Flow X13 is the latest ultraportable to come out from ASUS last CES 2021. Unlike its more powerful siblings like the Scar 15 and 17, it focuses more on portability which enables it to weigh only 1.35kg and a thickness footprint of just 15mm. Despite its thin profile, it still manages to squeeze in AMD’s Cezanne-based Ryzen 5000 mobile CPUs.

The variants that will be coming here in the Philippines will sport an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 GPU as well as a 13.4-inch IPS screen at 3840 x 2400. Its display has also been Pantone Validated in order to deliver better colors for professionals and casual users alike.

Those who might find the ROG Flow X13’s GPU to be a bit lacking in some situations can bolster GPU speeds by plugging in the XG Mobile GPU. ASUS has made a custom PCIe 30 x8 interface on the XG Mobile and the Flow X13, which they say is “faster than Thunderbolt 4.”

The XG Mobile also expands the ROG Flow X13’s I/O options thanks to its multi-port hub, whichc comes with four USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports, an SD Card slot, and a Gigabit Ethernet port. The notebook also gains access to the GPU’s DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.0 outputs. Thankfully, the external GPU does come with an integrated 280W adapter that supplies it and the notebook with power simultaneously.

ASUS will also be introducing the ROG Flow X13 Supernova Edition in the Philippines. It has a specialized metal nameplate with an iridescent shine and comes exclusive with an AMD Ryzen 9 5980HS. It will be a limited-time offer and comes bundled with an ROG XG Mobile with an RTX 3080 and an Xbox Wireless controller.
