ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has officially launched their new pre-built desktop in the Philippines, the ASUS ROG Huracan G21. Acting as a successor of sorts to the ROG G20, the G21 now has a better cooling system and better specifications in a miniscule footprint for a desktop.
The ASUS ROG Huracan G21 largely has the same shape as its predecessor although it has gained a bit of bulk. Despite this, ASUS ROG’s pre-built packs some serious heat with a Coffee Lake-based Intel Core i7-8700 processor on an H370 board, 16GB of DDR4 RAM at 2666MHz, either an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 or 1080, as well as a 512GB M.2 SSD and a 1TB HDD.
In order to deliver more performance, the ASUS ROG Huracan G21 automatically overclocks its video card once the side flap on the chassis has been opened. This leads to more air passing over the GPU to cool it down, which allows it to have more overclocking headroom. Opening the magnetic flap also reveals RGB lighting inside the desktop.
Users would also be able to upgrade certain parts of the desktop like the video card and RAM as the chassis allows minimal headaches when opened up. Storage can also be expanded via a hot-swappable 2.5-inch tray at the top of the G21.
The desktop is also ASUS Aura Sync compatible with all the peripherals from the brand. It also comes with its own lighting setup with a strip of light going down the middle at the front. Here are the full specifications of the ASUS ROG Huracan G21:
