ASUS Republic of Gamers has officially announced the world’s first 360Hz gaming monitor. Delivering up to 50% more frames per second than other monitors, the ASUS ROG 360Hz is one of the fastest gaming monitors in the world.
Complete details for the ASUS ROG 360Hz are still sparse but ASUS has said that the monitor will have a 24.5-inch display with a 1920 x 1080 resolution. What sets it apart from the competition is its 360Hz refresh rate that can deliver up to 50% more frames to the user compared to the more common 240Hz monitor.
Of course, NVIDIA G-Sync will be implemented on the monitor in order to eliminate screen-tearing in games. The type of panel hasn’t been revealed yet but we fully expect it to be a TN-based display since TN is widely regarded as the fastest panel in terms of refresh rate.
Standing alongside the ASUS ROG 360Hz is another beastly monitor. The ASUS ROG Swift PG32UQX G-Sync Ultimate is a 10-bit 32-inch 4K 144Hz HDR monitor. Of course, it also comes with NVIDIA G-Sync to get rid of any screen tearing.
The monitor comes with a full-array of local dimming backlight with 1152 Mini LED zones that will allow the display to produce bright highlights and the deepest blacks with minimal haloing. ASUS promises that the brightest sports can reach up to 1400nits to deliver a more palatable HDR experience.
In order to ensure top-notch quality, the ASUS ROG Swift PG32UQX G-Sync Ultimate undergoes 300 image quality tests to deliver consistent quality and maximum performance.
The display is also compatible with ASUS Aura Sync. An Aura Sync-enabled RGB LED ROG logo will allow users to fully customize the RGB lighting of their rig.
Both the ASUS ROG Swift 360Hz and ROG Swift PG32UQX are expected to be available this year. Pricing will be announced in the future.
