Set to launch on July 23, 2019, a new round of leaked images points to the ASUS ROG Phone 2’s final design as well as more information about its high-refresh rate display.
If the images are to be believed, the ROG Phone 2 largely shares the same aesthetics as the original ROG Phone. There are still two stereo speakers located at the top and bottom of the smartphone.
There are no notches on the screen, which means that the front-facing camera is placed at the top bezel of the smartphone. The leaked images also reveal that the ASUS ROG Phone 2’s display is capable varying refresh rates from 60Hz, 90Hz, to 120Hz.
Tencent is currently working on an optimization engine for the ASUS ROG Phone 2. This will allow the smartphone to achieve improved performance in Tencent games such as PUBG Mobile and Arena of Valor.
