It seems that the successor to the ASUS ROG Phone will be announced soon. The creatively named ASUS ROG Phone 2 is expected to make its debut on July 23, 2019 in Beijing, China.

It is rumored that the ASUS ROG Phone 2 will come in two variants. The base model is expected to be priced at CNY 4,399 (USD 635, PhP 30,000). Allegedly, the smartphone will make an appearance at ChinaJoy 2019 expo in Shanghai on August 1, 2019.

Details are still few and far between for the ASUS ROG Phone 2. Currently, it is said that the smartphone will come with a 120Hz display. It’s safe to assume that the handset will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chip with up to 12GB of RAM.

ASUS previously announced their partnership with Tencent for the ASUS ROG Phone 2. Tencent will help games such as PUBG Mobile and Arena of Valor to have an optimized mode to run better on ASUS’ next gaming smartphone.
