The long-waited ROG Phone II has finally arrived in the Philippines. As the name suggests, it is the follow-up for the brand’s previous gaming smartphone, the ROG Phone. Aside from a name change, the ROG Phone II comes with improved specifications to bring a top-notch gaming experience.
In order to bring the best gaming experience possible, the ASUS ROG Phone II comes with one of the most powerful chipsets in the market – the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+. ASUS has also clocked the chip higher to 2.96GHz to remove any unnecessary lag from gameplay.
Cooling the smartphone’s chip is the ASUS ROG AeroActive Cooler II. Integrated with the included Aero Case, the cooler now has a 24dBA noise level allowing for quieter operation while gaming.
The display has been upped from the previous 90Hz to 120Hz allowing for smoother rendering on its 6.59-inch 10-bit AMOLED display. The precious display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 6 allowing users to focus on gameplay instead of keeping the screen safe from scratches.
The ASUS ROG Phone II is powered by a 6,000mAh battery. Although gaming can take a lot of charge to perform, ASUS keeps the charging wait short thanks to the smartphone’s 30W Fast Charging.

The ASUS ROG Phone II is priced at PhP 49,995 for the base 12GB/512GB variant. A second version with a 12GB/1TB configuration dubbed the ASUS ROG Phone II Ultimate Edition is expected to hit the market on November 2019 for PhP 59,995.
