ASUS ROG Strix G15 and G17 gets Intel 10th generation processors and RTX GPUs

-

ASUS is adding two new 10th generation laptops under their belt: the ASUS ROG Strix G15 and G17. Both notebooks are equipped with Intel’s latest chips as well as RTX GPUs pushing a 240Hz display.

The ASUS ROG Strix G15 packs a 15.6-inch IPS 1920 x 1080 display with a 240Hz refresh rate and 3ms response time. Meanwhile, the ASUS ROG Strix G17 also has a 240Hz refresh rate although the screen size has been increased to 17.3 inches.

Both notebooks can be decked with an Intel Core i7-108750H with up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM clocked at 3200MHz. In terms of GPU performance, both notebooks is configured to have an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super GPU.

In terms of storage, both laptops sport two M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 x4 SSDs of up to 1TB running at RAID 0 for maximum performance. You add a third SSD in case you need more storage for your games and other files.

These notebooks come with per-key RGB lighting on their keyboard as well as a light bar running through the length of the bottom of the chassis. The lighting can be controlled via ROG Crate and can be synchronized with other Aura Sync peripherals.

Like the ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 and Scar 17, the G15 and G17’s processors are painted with liquid metal to improve thermal performance of the laptop. This allows for the CPU and GPU to run at higher clock speeds while keeping heat down.
