Fresh off the trail of the official launch of AMD’s RX 6000M series, ASUS ROG is introducing their new ROG Strix G15/G17 Advantage Edition notebooks which now packs the AMD Radeon RX 6800M GPU and the Ryzen 9 5900HX processor.
The ASUS ROG Strix G15 and G17 Advantage Editions only differs in display sizes with the former 15-inch screen while the latter has a larger 17-inch display. Their displays can be outfitted with either a 1080p panel running at 300Hz with 100% sRGB or a 1440p panel with a 165Hz refresh rate and 100% DCI-P3 coverage.
Both notebooks will come with an AMD Radeon RX 6800M GPU and a Ryzen 9 5900H. Liquid metal compound is applied on the two components complemented with a vapor chamber and IR sensor to improve thermal performance.
The notebooks can also be outfitted with up to 32GB DDR4 RAM running at 3200MHz. Storage is also upgradable with users having access to two PCIe M.2 slots. There are two speakers that support Dolby Atmos as well as AI Mic Noise Cancellation.
These new gaming laptops sport 90Whr battery, which ASUS claims will last up to 11 hours of video playback. They do come with 100W PD charging that can top up the battery to 50% in around 33 minutes.
