ASUS has officially unveiled a new range of X670E motherboards designed for AMDs upcoming Ryzen 7000 series CPUs. The chipset will support DDR5 memory and PCIe 5.0 connectivity for improved bandwidth capabilities and overall connectivity.
These new motherboards will sport ASUS Q-Design Innovations with the ROG Crosshair X670E Hero and ROG Strix X670E-E Gaming WiFi including a PCIe Q-release button that allows users to release GPUs from the PCIe slot with just on press.
In addition, these boards will have a single-sided Q-DIMM latching design to ensure ease of installation of memory sticks and an M.2 Q-latch that allows M.2 drives to be installed or removed without any tools.
The flagship of the Crosshair X670E lineup, the ROG Crosshair X670E Hero acts as a bridge for enthusiasts and everyday gamers. It sports a 18+2 teamed power stages rated for 110A with substantial heatsinks, to deliver stable power at lower temperatures.
The board will come with two PCIe 5.0 x 16 slots for next generation graphics cards, a PCIe 5.0 M.2 slot, and WiFi 6E. Its ESS ES91218PQ Quad DAC promises pristine audio from its front-panel output.
As always, design is dominated by dark hues for PC builds. The board will come with polymo lighting, luminous RGB pattern, and an integrated I/O shield.
The ROG Strix X670E-E Gaming WiFi still comes with 18+2 teamed power stages for 110A with heatsinks to ensure clean power goes to the CPU. The board will sport an integrated power button on the motherboard and spare M.2 thermal pads for future replacements.
As for its design, it will have angular accents sweeping across the board’s heatsinks with distinctive ROG iconography, alongside an illuminated acrylic display on the integrated I/O shield.
The TUF Gaming X670E-Plus WiFi offers durability and practicality in one package. The board will come with a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot and four M.2 slots. It has a clean aesthetic and badges on the integrated I/O shield and includes a Q-LED diagnostic array to give a quick status update of the build.
ASUS ROG and TUF X670E motherboards will be arriving in the Philippines soon. The brand has yet to announce a specific launch date but we expect these boards to arrive sometime in Q4 2022.
