The ASUS ZenBook series has always impressed with its premium looks and performance. That remains unchanged with one of the lineup’s refresh this year, the ASUS ZenBook 14X OLED (2022). It comes with quite a few enhancements including an Intel 12th Generation processor, DDR5 memory, and a taller 16:10 OLED display.
The ASUS ZenBook 14X OLED now comes with a taller 14-inch 2880 x 1800 OLED display. This is a significant upgrade from yesteryear’s notebooks, which came with dated 16:9 1920 x 1080 screens. The increase in resolution also means that text and details are crisper than ever before.
Colors look good and blacks look deep as expected from an OLED display. Contrast is as impressive as ever and viewing angle is incredibly wide. The display has an impressive color gamut of around 98.50% according to our testing, which makes it ideal for those who need accurate colors.
The screen sports a 180˚ ErgoLift Hinge. The keyboard is slightly raised when the notebook is the lid is turned allowing for a more ergonomic typing experience. The display can then be laid flat so you can easily share information to colleagues in front of you so you can collaborate easier.
The 2022 refresh of the ASUS ZenBook 14X OLED is now powered by Intel’s 12th Generation processors. This is Intel’s foray into the big.LITTLE-style platform. This means that their processors will now come with “Efficient Cores” and “Performance Cores” to optimize performance in light and heavy workloads.
The notebook itself can be equipped with up to an Intel Core i7-12700H with 8 E-Cores and 6 P-Cores. Performance is pretty good even with its thin formfactor while multitasking is fast and seamless. The new platform also brings faster DDR5 memory for additional performance in apps and support for faster PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe SSDs.
The ASUS ZenBook 14X OLED has a robust aluminum chassis but it’s still portable at around 1.30kg and 15.9mm thin. NumberPad 2.0 is integrated on its touchpad – a helpful feature for those who need a dedicated number pad for number-crunching work.
The notebook has with two Thunderbolt 4 ports for faster data transfers and charging. It will support external GPUs for additional graphical horsepower for rendering or gaming. It also comes with an HDMI 2.0 port, a MicroSD Card reader, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A port so you won’t rely on dongles for connectivity.
Worried about privacy? The notebook’s power button has an integrated fingerprint scanner for a safe and seamless login experience. Its HD webcam comes with an electronic privacy shutter so you don’t need to worry if you don’t want to be seen in Zoom meetings.
ASUS notebooks now come with a free lifetime license of Microsoft Office apps, you can get right to work. This will also save you PhP 6,995 worth of Microsoft Office licenses as you only need to log in to your Microsoft account to bind the lifetime license.
Devices will also come with a 3-month subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud that can be redeemed through the pre-installed MyASUS app. That’s not all as the ASUS ZenBook 14X OLED has two years Global Warranty and 1-year ASUS Platinum Protection Warranty.
