The ASUS ZenBook Duo 14 and Pro Duo 15 remains as the top dog of the ZenBook lineup when it comes to sheer features and audacity of design. Which is why ASUS is updating them to the Intel Tiger Lake platform and upgrading their GPUs in order to keep them the best of the best.
The ZenBook Pro Duo 15 UX582 carries over all that we loved from the previous generation like its 15.6-inch 3840 x 2160 OLED Pantone Validated main display as well as its 14.0-inch 3840 x 1100 IPS-level ScreenPad+ secondary display.
Meanwhile, the ZenBook Duo 14 UX482 is receiving a more modest – but still impressive – set of displays. Its primary screen is a 14.0-inch 1920 x 1080 IPS display with 100% sRGB coverage and is able to produce 400nits. Just below the main screen its 12.6-inch 32:9 FullHD IPS ScreenPad+ display
As mentioned, both notebooks are being upgraded to carry Intel Tiger Lake processors with the Duo 15 receiving an i9 CPU with up to 32GB of RAM while the Duo 14 getting an i7 variant with up to 16GB of RAM.
In terms of graphics, the ZenBook Pro Duo 15 can be equipped by NVIDIA’s RTX 30 series GPU. On the other hand, the Duo 14 will have the option to run either its i7’s integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics or NVIDIA’s MX450 mobility GPU.
Regardless of which notebook you prefer, you have the option to get a 1TB PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe SSD storage. All their components are helped to be cooled thanks to the new AAS+ system found at the bottom of the secondary display.
ASUS is also implementing quite a few improvements on the software front. Users will now have a more intuitive control over the notebook with a new Control Center, cross-device multitasking with MyASUS, and easier switching of windows through the two displays. They are also integrating gesture-based panel controls for creative programs like the Adobe Suite via the ASUS Control Panel.
