The ASUS ZenBook S 16 is the brand’s highlight in the ultra-slim and light OLED notebook range in its Computex 2024 lineup. Aside from hardware upgrades, it’ll come with a new material to make it lighter and more premium.
The ZenBook S 16 uses a new Ceraluminum chassis – a mixture between ceramics and aluminum. This allows the notebook to weigh in at just 1.5kg with a thin 1.1cm profile despite having a 16-inch frame. The material will come in a range of nature-inspired colors for a timeless look.
The notebook will be powered by up to an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370. These new range of processors from AMD come with dedicated AI processing up to 81 TOPS to make AI processing much faster, especially on thin notebooks. Complementing the processor is up to 32GB of LPDDR5X memory and up to 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 storage.
Since it is being positioned as a high-end notebook, it will come with ASUS’ Lumina OLED display. There are several OLED variants, the top-end model sports a 16.0-inch 2880 x 1800 OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3, Pantone Validated, and VESA Certified Display HDR True Black 500.
ASUS is also equipping it with several USB-C ports plus a 78Whr battery to keep it running throughout the day. If graphics processing is a must, there will be options to include either an AMD Raden 880M or 890M.
The ASUS ZenBook S 16 will start at USD 1,399. It is now available for pre-order worldwide via ASUS or BestBuy. No word yet about a local released in the Philippines.
