ASUS has officially announced that they will be launching the ZenFone 9 series on July 28, 2022. It will have multiple launches in New York, Berlin, and Taipei at 9:00am, 3:00pm, and 9:00pm local time, respectively.
The brand has yet to release any official specifications for the device or devices. A leaked video teaser, however, unveiled that the ZenFone 9 will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, a 5.9-inch 120Hz AMOLED screen, a 50MP Sony IMX766 powered main camera with gimbal, and a 4,300mAh battery.
Based on the leaked specifications, the ZenFone 9 will still stick to a smaller formfactor instead of getting larger unlike its competition. Last year’s ZenFone 8 also had a compact design with the brand reasoning that audience are still buying smaller smartphones and it’s a unattended market.
ASUS will most likely livestream the launch on their official social media channels. More information should arise about the smartphone once we near the launch date.
