After being spotted via the Russian ECC Certifications back in early October 2018, the ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M2 has been teased via the official Facebook page of ASUS.
Based on the rumor mill, the ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M2 may have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC with up to 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The front may be populated by a 6.2-inch 19:9 display with a resolution of 2280 x 1080.
The smartphone will allegedly have 12MP + 5MP cameras at the back as well as a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. As with previous entries in the Max series, the Max Pro M2 will have a large battery with current rumors pointing to a 5,000mAh battery.
It can be expected that the ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M2 may be geared for gaming. The previous entry in the Max series, the Max Pro M1, has been targeted to the gaming public with ASUS even removing their trademark ZenUI on the smartphone to further improve performance.
No word yet as to when the ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M2 will be released. It is anticipated that the smartphone will be officially announced on December just before Christmas.
