ASUS has now officially unveiled the ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M2 after teasing the smartphone via social media. The ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M2 continues the Max lineup by providing a large battery while improving on the formula by having a more premium build.
To deliver better performance over its predecessors, the ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M2 comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 which was previously found in the ASUS ZenFone 5 (2018). To back its SoC, the smartphone will come with up to 6GB of RAM while files are stored in its 64GB storage that can be expanded up to 2TB via a dedicated MicroSD slot.
The ZenFone Max Pro M2 also comes with a larger notched 6.3-inch 19:9 display with a resolution of 2280 x 1080. ASUS also claims that the smartphone’s screen can display screen brightness of up to 450nits and have 94% NTSC coverage. The ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M2 is the first smartphone to come with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 from the brand
The smartphone’s notch hides its 13MP front-facing camera. The cameras also enable the smartphone’s facial recognition capabilities.
The rear of the ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M2 is now encased in a glass rear instead of the plastic back of previous entries in the series. The rear’s design is only broken by the ASUS logo, the fingerprint scanner, and the smartphone’s cameras. The dual rear cameras are composed of a 12MP primary lens powered by a Sony IMX486 sensor nad a 5MP secondary shooter.
The smartphone runs a stock version of Android 8.1 Oreo. It is powered by a 5,000mAh battery that can be charged from 0% to 100% in under 3 hours via its MicroUSB port.
