Two new APS-C cameras has been unveiled by Canon in the Philippines. The Canon EOS 90D was designed to offer fast and comfortable shooting while the Canon EOS M6 Mark II delivers superb image quality and high-performance in a compact form.
The latest in Canon’s DSLR lineup, the Canon EOS 90D was built to perform. It comes with an advanced viewfinder and Canon’s Dual Pixel CMOS Auto Focus. Powering the camera is a 32.5MP APS-C sensor.
The device has 5,481 AF positions for a greater freedom of movement without losing focus on the subject. The DSLR can also handle low-light conditions with up to capturing images at EV -5 with sharp focus.
Its 32MP APS-C sensor can achieve ISO sensitivities of up to 51,200 as well as 11fps in Live View to make sure that photographers don’t miss a shot. The electronic shutter can also handle up to 1/16,000 to make sure that even when everything’s moving, the photo is sharp and focused.
The optical viewfinder of the Canon EOS 90D can help with focus thanks to its 45-cross-type AF sensor and can support 10fps via the viewfinder. Meanwhile, its optical viewfinder now includes a single-point spot AF as well as EOS iTR for face detection.
The 220,000-pixel AE sensor has face detection abilities and correct exposure even in scenes where skin color detection can be difficult.
A new multi-controller joystick now comes with the existing multi-controller to provide more tactile control over the AF point selection. Users will be able to operate the selection of AF points quickly and intuitively while looking through the optical viewfinder or via the vari-angle LCD monitor.
For video, the Canon EOS 90D comes with 4K 30p/25p cropped or uncropped. In addition, users can also record high-framerate movies at 120fps and 100fps in FullHD.
Essentially the little brother of the EOS 90D, the Canon EOS M6 Mark II comes with fast-locking and fast-tracking autofocus to capture unexpected moments.
Powered by Canon’s DIGIC 8 Image Processor, the 32.5MP APS-C CMOS sensor will allow its users to shoot under low-liht conditions and landscape images with smooth tonal gradation even in high-contrast conditions.
Like the EOS 90D, the Canon EOS M6 Mark II comes with Dual Pixel CMOS AF with high-precision AF Tracking and Eye-Detection AF. The M6 Mark II also comes with up to 5,481 AF positions as well as a low-light focusing limit of EV -5.
The camera is capable of shooting 30fps continuous RAW in burst mode. Users can also record 4K movies or slow-motion recordings at 120fps or 100fps.
