The Canon EOS R5 C and RF 5.2mm f/2.8L Dual Fisheye have arrived in the Philippines. Both are expanding the EOS system lineup and are designed for high-end content creation for professionals.
The Canon EOS R5 C comes equipped with a full frame 8K RAW internal video recording and can take 45MP stills with 20fps for its electronic shutter and 12fps while using mechanical shutter. A DIGIC X image processor powers the device and can take up to 8K60p RAW videos when using an external power supply. Video framerates, however, are reduced to 8K30p when powered solely by battery.
The camera can also take 4K/4:2:2/10-bit as well as 4K120p video and supports Canon’s proprietary XF-AVC format based on broadcast standards. HDR recording formats like Canon Log 3, PQ, and HLG capture are also supported by the EOS R5 C.
The Canon RF 5.2mm f/2.8L Dual Fisheye lens is a dedicated RF lens for the EOS R5 and R5 C, which can take 180° 3D visuals and record VR videos at 8K. It has a dual-lens electro-magnetic diaphragm that controls exposure electronically and it has a f/2.8 aperture that works well even in low light.
The Canon EOS R5 C is priced at PhP 280,998 in the Philippines. It can be pre-ordered through Canon Image Squares, Canon concept stores, Canon Online Flagship stores, and authorized partner retailers nationwide.
Those who will pre-order will get a free Canon Professional Service (CPS) Platinum Membership worth PhP 6,000, a 512B CF Express Type-B Memory Card, a CF Express Card Reader, an LP-E6NH Battery Pack, and a Canon Premium Jacket. Pre-orders will last until May 15, 2022.
