Colorful has launched a new budget-friendly notebook for gamers and creators, the Colorful X15 XS. Though it sports modest hardware, it now comes with a cleaner and simpler design, and new packaging.
The Colorful X15 XS comes with a 12th Generation Intel Core i5-12500H CPU and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050. Its CPU is paired with two 8GB DDR4-3200 RAM sticks for a total of 16GB, but it can be upgraded to two 32GB sticks for a total of 64GB. For storage, Colorful is including a 512GB NVMe SSD though it can be expanded as they are including an empty M.2 slot.
Its display is a 15.6-inch 1920 x 1080 144Hz panel complemented by an audio system compatible with Sound Blaster Cinema 6+. There’s no USB-C charging here to keep costs down, but it does come with a barrel charger that supports 150W charging.
As for ports, it comes with two USB 3.2 Gen2 ports, a single USB 3.2 Gen1, a USB 2.0 port, a HDMI 2.0 and Mini DisplayPort 1.4 for external displays, two 3.5mm audio jacks, RJ-45 for wired Internet, and a MicroSD card reader.
The Colorful X15 XS with an Intel Core i5-12500H and RTX 3050 model is priced starting at USD 699.
