Colorful has officially launched their range of Z890 motherboards designed for the Intel Core Ultra 200 series CPUs. Taking center stage are the Colorful iGame X890 Vulcan X/W flagship motherboard that packs in USB4, WiFi 7, and faster DDR5 support.
The company introduced a total of 7 Z890 motherboards this generation. Aside from the flagship, they are also offering the iGame Z890 Flow and iGame Z890 Ultra for enthusiasts while mainstream users can take advantage of the CVN Z890 Ark Frozen, CVN Z890M Gaming Frozen, and Battle-Ax Z890M-Plus.
As the flagship Intel motherboard this generation, the Colorful iGame Z890 Vulcan X/W packs all of its features in an E-ATX form factor. It dissipates heat through its Vulcan armor and its alloy protection backplate enhances both durability and cooling efficiency.
It comes with plenty of premium features for enthusiasts including a 20+1+1+1 phase 105A DrMOS VRM, four alloy-reinforced DDR5 memory slots with supported speeds of up to 8,400MT/s, a single PCIe 5.0 x4 M.2 slot, two PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 slots, 10Gbps USB-A ports, two USB 4.0 40G Type-C ports, dual 2.5G/5G Ethernet ports, and WiFi 7.
For overclockers, the board will come with overclocking functions such as independent frequency adjustment buttons, LN2 mode, and an upgraded BIOS.
The Colorful iGame X890 Flow is another premium-tier board for the Intel platform. Its CNC-milled heat dissipation armor comes with dynamic curves for additional aesthetics. Its power delivery comes in the form of a 20+1+1+1 power phase design with 90A DrMOS power stages.
Much like the flagship model, the Flow has a PCIe 5.0 x4 M.2 slot with plenty of additional PCIe 4.0 x4 slots on reserve. Its I/O comes with four USB 3.2 Gen2 ports, two 40G USB4 Type-C ports, 2.5G LAN, a USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type-C port with 30W charging, and WiFi 7.
