OPPO has announced that they are rolling out the Color 6 Open Beta for the F9. This updates the smartphone to Android 9.0 Pie as well as adding a few major features.
As mentioned, the ColorOS 6 brings Android 9.0 Pie to OPPO smartphones. Aside from having the latest OS from Google, ColorOS 6 adds improved interactions, enhanced AI capabilities, and optimization of the interface.
ColorOS 6 comes with a borderless design for a cleaner layout. OPPO combines light, subtle colors, and a white background to give of a lightweight and elegant UI.
The new update moves the navigation bar to the top of the screen and streamlines information beplacing tapping with swiping to improve efficiency and smoothness.
Dazzle Color Mode on ColorOS 6 restores vivid colors, reverse light, and improve shading in photos with a mapping algorithm.
ColorOS 6 also uses its AI capabilities to scan through the most-viewed photos on social networks globally to customize five portrait filters. Algorithm-based optimization for facial recognition and skin tone adjustments helps to intelligently meet the user’s demand for beautification capabilities.
ColorOS 6 updates OPPO’s GameBoost to version 2.0 and adding new gaming technologies such as Touch Boost and FrameBoost. This improves the game’s responsiveness and framerate by up to 38 percent.
This new update adds quite a few privacy improvements on the OPPO F9. Color OS 6 includes App Encryption, Private Safe, and Find My Device.
For payments, ColorOS 6 comes with automatic payment blocking, payment identity verification, and environment monitoring for payment apps. These new improvements eliminate risks like induced payment, unsafe links, and fraudulent messages.
The OPPO F9 is the first smartphone to receive ColorOS 6. Other OPPO smartphones like the Find X and other OPPO smartphones will receive their updates a few months from now.
