Corsair cuts the cord with the K63 Wireless and Dark Core RGB

-

Wireless gaming peripherals have been picking up traction for the past few months. With wireless connections getting better and better performance, it seems that the time to ditch the wire is almost here. In CES 2018, Corsair showed off their first wireless gaming keyboard and mouse, the K63 Wireless and the Dark Core RGB.

Corsair K63 Wireless Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

The Corsair K63 Wireless Mechanical keyboard uses low latency Bluetooth connection via a 2.4GHz band with 128-bit AES encryption to deliver 1ms response time from the keystroke to your game.  The rechargeable battery is expected to last up to 75 hours. The keyboard can also be used via a USB connection if you’re paranoid of running out of battery or losing the connection in the middle of an intense game.

Inside the K63 Wireless are Cherry MX Red mechanical switches and blue LED backlighting. You can control the backlighting using the Corsair Utility Engine as well as assign programmable keys and per-key macros.

Corsair Dark Core RGB

Corsair’s first wireless mouse, the Dark Core RGB comes with a PMW3367 sensor with up to 16,000 DPI with 1 DPI steps of adjustment for precise customization of the sensor. The mouse uses the same Bluetooth technology as the K63 Wireless for that sweet 1ms response time.

As with most of Corsair’s peripherals, the Dark Core RGB comes with a three-zone RGB lighting that’s customizable via the Corsair Utility Engine. At the side are 9 programmable buttons while the battery inside the mouse is expected to last up to 24 hours. Of course, it can be charged and used via a wired USB connection.

Corsair MM1000 Qi Wireless Charging Mouse Pad

What goes well with a mouse? A mouse pad! And if you have a wireless mouse what’s even better than a mouse pad? A wireless charging mouse pad! Enter the Corsair MM1000 Qi Wireless Charging Mouse Pad.

At 260 x 350mm with a non-slip rubber base, the the MM1000 Qi allows you to charge a Qi-enabled device, such as the Dark Core RGB, via a dedicated spot on the top right-hand side of the mouse pad. If you don’t have any wireless devices to charge, there’s also a USB 3.0 pass through so you can charge your stuff without going away from your game.

The Corsair K63 Wireless Keyboard is priced at around USD 129.99 while both the Corsair Dark Core RGB and MM1000 Qi will sell each at around USD 95.00.
