The schematic to buy ammo for the Contact Beam can be found in a locked room in the Mining Deck area of the Ishimura. To go to this locked room, use the elevator and descend to Deck B – Processing. Head to the locked room located at the center.
To get into the room, go to the left side of the room and use the windows to shoot the door controls. Enter the door to find the Contact Energy schematic on top of a coffee table. You can also loot the lockers and crates inside the room for supplies.
Contact Energy or Contact Beam Ammo can be bought using the in-game shop for $2,000 for 5 ammo. Although the ammo is quite expensive, it can be worth it if you have a fully upgraded Contact Beam.
If you weren’t able to get the Contact Beam Ammo schematic during your initial visit to the Mining Deck, don’t worry. You can still get back to to get it during the down times between chapters or during the very open Chapter 10.
