Dead Space Remake Line Gun Upgrades
Three Upgrades In Total
There are three upgrades for the Line Gun. Two upgrades can be obtained during your travels and another one can be bought from the store once you reach Chapter 6 of the game.
Although these upgrades can be missed, you can still get back to them during certain periods in the game. If you find yourself missing one or two, just head back and wait until you get to Chapter 10 to fully explore the Ishimura.

Chapter 6
Upgrade Perk: Ionized Capacitor – greatly increases Laser Trap damage
Go to any store after you obtain the Line Gun in Chapter 5. You can buy this upgrade for $11,500.
Chapter 10
Upgrade Perk: Precision Lasers – Laser Traps have three targeting lasers instead of one
To get this upgrade, you must first complete the side quest “You Are Not Authorized” to get the Master Override Keycard. The Master Override Keycard allows you access to locked rooms and crates above security level 3 and the third upgrade for the Pulse Rifle is inside one such crate. The locked crate is in a room located directly to the left of the Hydroponics Central Hub save point. Enter the room and open the crate to get this upgrade.
Chapter 10
Upgrade Perk: Photon Energizer – greatly increases Laser Trap damage.
This upgrade is behind a security clearance 3 locked door at the Medical Deck. You can visit and unlock this room once you hit Chapter 10 to get the final upgrade for the Line Gun.
I’m still checking if you can get this upgrade earlier than Chapter 10. I’ll update this guide once I confirm it.
Upgrade Weapons In Dead Space Remake
Better And Deadlier Weapons
Make weapons deadlier and perform better in combat through the use of upgrades. Weapon upgrades can be done by going to a bench and using a Node to upgrade a specific stat. You can also use a Node to unlock special perks that increases the effects of the weapon. This is a reversible process and you can pay credits to remove Nodes and to allocate them again to a different weapon.
