Dead Space Remake Suit Upgrades
6 Levels Of Suit Upgrades
There are six suit upgrades in total in Dead Space Remake. These upgrades can be found as you travel and fight your way across the Ishimura. Some are missable and you need to buy them via the in-game shop once you find their schematics.
Level 1 – Chapter 1
The level 1 suit is available by default and Isaac starts with this suit.
Level 2 – Chapter 2
- Price: $10,000
- Bonuses: Increases inventory to 18 slots and provides 5% armor
This upgrade is readily available on your first visit to the shop. You can buy it immediately if you have the funds for it.
Level 3 – Chapter 4
- Price: $22,000
- Bonuses: Increases inventory to 22 slots and provides 10% armor
You can find the schematic for this suit upgrade on a bench in the EVA Prep Room in Engineering.
Level 4 – Chapter 7
- Price: $35,000
- Bonuses: Increases capacity to 26 slots and provides 15% armor
This suit upgrade schematic can be found after you protect Nicole from incoming Necromorphs in Chapter 7. Enter the Equipment Workshop and descend the stairs to find it lying on top of a table.
Level 5 – Chapter 10
- Price: $60,000
- Bonuses: Increases inventory capacity to 30 slots and provides 20% armor
Found inside a Locker Room Shower in the Crew Quarters. This room is just beside the Zero-G Gym.
Level 6 – New Game Plus
- Price: $99,000
- Bonuses: Provides 30% armor
This suit is available only in New Game Plus.
Suit Upgrade Benefits
Whenever you upgrade your suit, you get access to one or all of the following bonuses:
Increased Defense
Armor or suit upgrades passively increase Isaac’s defense, increasing your chances of surviving those occasional grueling ambushes and attacks. This also makes upgrades a must-have if you plan on taking on the game on higher difficulties.
More Upgrades
When you unlock suit upgrades, you also unlock more of the upgrade graph. This allows you to spend more nodes to get passive bonuses such as increased Kinesis damage, larger Stasis area of effect, and more.
Cooler Aesthetics
Aside from the bonuses that impact gameplay, you also get to see Isaac get more heavily armored, rewarding your hardships with a veteran-looking engineer. You can also change how Isaac looks via DLCs and other bonuses depending on where and how you are playing Dead Space Remake.
