Disney+ is still sticking to their current pricing despite the Digital Service Law, also known as the Republic Act 12023, which requires digital services such as streaming platforms and gaming storefronts getting 12% value-added tax on their pricing.
Disney+ raised their prices last April 2024 with plans now starting at PhP 249 from their introductory starting price of PhP 159 – a 36% increase. Despite of the onset of the RA 12023, reports say that the previous increase are already VAT inclusive.
