DITO has unveiled their WOWFI Home Prepaid 5G WiFi in the Philippines. Powered by their 5G network, it promises speeds of up to 100Mbps with a starter kit costing PhP 1,990.
The modem is supposedly supplied by Huawei and takes advantage of 5G RedCap to support higher peak data rate, lower latency, and improved power consumption. All these promise that DITO’s Home Prepaid 5G WiFi solution is faster than its competitors.
5G RedCap is currently exclusive to industrial use. With their services, however, DITO is bringing this technology to Filipino homes in order for them to enjoy better 5G services.
The DITO Home WiFi is plug-and-play to use. There’s no need for additional cables allowing for easy setup wherever you are. It’s also a prepaid service so there’s no requirements, monthly fees, lock-in-periods, or long-term contracts.
The DITO Home WOWFI starter kit is priced at PhP 1,990 and comes with the modem and unlimited 5G data and 50GB data for 30 days. Succeeding monthly load options start at PhP 790 for 30 datys with unlimited 5G and 50GB 4G data, the latter of which only applies to 4G-covered areas.
DITO’s Home 5G WiFi is now available through their e-Shop, DITO Experience Stores nationwide, retail partners, and official stores in Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok.
