A month after Smart introduced its own affordable 5G smartphone, DITO Telecommunity has partnered with itel to rebrand the P55 5G as its own budget-friendly 5G smartphone in the Philippines.
The DITO-branded itel P55 5G will come with its own custom box with the telco’s branding all over it. The telco is providing a free Level-Up99 SIM bundle with 9GB 5G data and unlimited 5G for 1 year.
According to the fine print on its website, unlimited 5G enables up to 500Mbps for the first 10GB of the day and 5Mbps after at 80% reliability. Speeds will be refreshed at 12:00am the next day.
Aside from the packaging, the smartphone remains largely unchanged. It packs a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 chip with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage, a 6.6-inch 1612 x 720 IPS display that runs at 90Hz, and a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W Fast Charging.
Cameras include a 50MP main camera at the back and an 8MP front-facing camera. It will run on Android 13 with itel OS 13.
DITO’s itel P55 5G is now available at DITO Experience stores within the National Capital Region.
